Inspired By Spring

I don't know about you, but around here, the weather has been nuts! We were in sunny Florida, for about 2 weeks. And it wasn't very warm. It didn't feel like Florida at all! Then we come home to the South, and it's freezing!

It makes me want Spring and Summer, more than ever! My Bestie and I, we took to Pinterest over the weekend, for a little inspiration. And I have to say this, I was so inspired by the warm weather outfits! Like this one...

This outfit reminds me a lot of Easter. Can you believe, I'm already talking about Easter? I know! This year is flying by! I'm not complaining though. Spring is my favorite season. I adore everything about it! Spring cleaning, the plants blooming, birds chirping, the clothes, fresh food, holidays, and beautiful colors. Oh ya, my birthday is also in Spring! :)

I've actually been looking for something similar to this outfit. I've got a similar cardigan and jewelry. But I'm searching for a dress like this. Oh, and that bag! I'm a sucker for ruffles, bows, and pretty jewelry. Spring can't come fast enough for this gal! ♥  

Colorful Fun :)

Back in September, my Mom got an ad from Old Navy. Being a cardholder, these are regular. And honestly, the best thing to get in your mailbox. Well, besides those ads from Jo-Ann. :)

Almost immediately, my Mom went to Old Navy. She couldn't find this shirt. And might have gotten a little distracted, with other purchases. But my Mom never forgot about this shirt Actually, every single time that we talked, she asked me if I'd found this shirt.

Well, I finally found her shirt. Online! It's taken forever. Mom, I've got you covered, I ordered this shirt for my Mom. She just LOVES the bright colors! And I might have gotten this one for myself. :) I adore the green and blue combo. Around these parts, they are "regular" colors in our wardrobe.

Honestly, I'm kinda wondering if I should go back, and order the orange one for me too! Yes, extra "spare" time, can be a little dangerous. Let's not talk, about the online Christmas shopping, that I also did! ♥

Royal Purple Ruffles

I don't know, if I've ever shared these 3 important things with you. My favorite color is purple. All shades. Since I was an itty bitty. Ruffles make me smile. Oh yes, they do! And I adore jackets. Old Navy jackets to be exact. I try to buy a new one, every winter. :)

So when I saw that Old Navy was having their annual "Outwear Sale," I was all over it!!! But there are so many decisions. Secretly, I want one of each. And I'm not lying about that fact!!! But I restrained myself. Oh, and I remembered, that I still have some tuition payments coming up. So I picked just one...

This lovely purple number, is now all mine!!! I should have bought it a few weeks ago. The last two weeks, we've traveled to some chilly places. Instead, late last week I placed the order. And today, I got my precious jacket. :) We might just be in sunny Florida this week. But I did crank up the AC, just so I could wear my new jacket.

Between, if you are looking for a new jacket, run to Old Navy. I think the sale ends on Friday. But I did buy this beauty for $20. Regularly $55. Thanks to the sale, and an online coupon, I got a GREAT deal! I'm thinking "Girl Math." And I'm tempted, to buy this beautiful blue pal too! ♥

Icy Day Cowl

There have been 2 things, running through my head lately. It's getting cold. As in, I need a jacket, and scarf cold. And the Craft Fair, that my Mom and I are selling at, is less than a month away. Two things, that are putting me into "high gear."

I took a little time, yesterday, to search for some patterns. That would help in both of these areas. What did I come up with? A cute cowl.

I honestly adore this. Not necessarily in these colors. But I adore this cowl! I've started one for me. In grey. And I'm finding, that it's simple. As in, I can make a few of these, for the upcoming Craft Fair. Maybe in some more "Festive Colors." I might just spend my evening crocheting. And maybe watching a few movies, with My Love. ♥

Mix and Match for Fall

One of my absolute, favorite things about Fall, are the colors. The rich colors. The mix of textures. Oh, I could just go on and on, for days. Instead, I was searching through Polyvore last night. Passing some time, before calling a friend.

What did I find? Well, lots of things. But there was one board, that completely stuck out to me. I don't know what it was. But I adored it. What do you think?

Mostly, I like the colors. The variety of colors. But more than anything, I like the idea of mixing textures. Of mixing, and matching pieces, from different seasons. For example, that dress might be from Spring or Summer. Those shoes, and that ring, are definitely Summer pieces. But that jacket, and the makeup, scream Fall and Winter to me.

That's the thing I love about Fall. You can mix and match so much. To get that perfect look. OK, I'm not in love with these shoes. But I like the color. Maybe I'd pair this outfit, with a similarly colored clutch. Perhaps find a pair of coral and pink earrings. And a turquoise blue ring. Taking these colors, but using them in a slightly, different way.

Quite in fact, this little picture, has inspired me. I'm sort of challenged by it. And now, I'm dying to dig through my closet. To see what I can pair together. What pieces would go well. As we transition from Summer, to Fall. ♥

Quirky and Fun!!!

Later this summer, we have a REALLY FUN event to go to! I already have the dress to wear. Which is gorgeous! Thank You Cole! And I got an e-mail with this picture. How fun is this?



Turns out, the fascinator is not optional! But that's perfectly fine with me! Because when else, do you get an excuse, to wear something like this? Between, fascinators will ALWAYS remind me of My Bestie's wedding. It's what we wore. :)

I'm so EXCITED for this Southern event. I've been counting down the days, since Christmas!!! Maybe because, it's a good excuse to get all dressed up. And have a ton of fun, with My Love! Oh, and definitely, to wear this quirky head accessory! ♥

Adding Summer Color!!!

I've been looking for some colorful accessories. Something to add a little fun, to my wardrobe. Here's the deal. 9 months a year, I wear black. Almost all the time. Then in the warm Summer months, I turn to white. I'm that woman, that wears all white. All summer long. Ugh! I know, I need help!

So I've been branching out. Buying colored denim. Which I LOVE!!! Adding some fun accessories. But I've been looking for some colorful accessories. Something like these...




A pretty fuchsia clutch. Wouldn't this be fun? The perfect bit of Summer color. To dress up a casual outfit. Or to add with a cute dress.



Oh wellies! I've been searching for some fun rain boots. We travel a lot. And to places where it's ALWAYS raining. At home, I have my own rain boots. That I wear to garden in. Or when it's raining. But I'd like some fun, and colorful rain boots, for when we're on the road. And these peach ones, are ADORABLE!!!



I'm a BIG fan of silver jewelry. And of turquoise stones. I'm from the southwest. So I've grown up around this type of jewelry. I ADORE this bracelet!!! I think it would add a lot of fun, to a white dress.

Now if I just knew where, these accessories where from. That's the only sad thing about Pinterest. It's hard to track down the source of the pictures. Have you seen these accessories? Or anything fun like them? What do you think of fun Summer colors? ♥

Oh Dresses!!!

I took to Pinterest lately. For a little inspiration. The month of June, is extra crazy for me this year. 3 weddings, 2 baptismos, and many graduations. Oh boy! So I've been hunting around, for some cute looks. What do you think of these?



A really good friend, is throwing a rather "fancy" party for his daughter. Who is graduated this year. It's at night, and like I said, totally "fancy." I think a dress like this would be fun. And doable. In this desert heat. Sorry people, I'm not wearing any kind of floor length dress, in triple digit weather!



This fun frock, would be perfect for a Bridal Shower. Or a Rehearsal Dinner. I just adore all those cutouts! And the length, is perfect. If only I knew, where this dress was from...



And this cute dress, well it will be perfect for any sort of BBQ, or even one of the Baptismo parties. It's fun and light. And would be perfect for church, with a little cardigan. :)

I've been on a bit of a "Shopping Diet." For the last 2 months, I really haven't bought anything. But it's kind of necessary right now. Have you seen any cute dresses lately? At what stores? I'm having a bit of a problem, actually finding a dress to buy. And a need a couple for all these celebrations. ♥

In Love with Colored Denim!!!

I have a bit of a confession. In March, my parents took me shopping. For my birthday. Honestly, I didn't want to go. Am I the only one, that feels too old, to let their parents buy them stuff? Maybe it's just me...

Anyway, my Mom and I, ended up at Old Navy. We also got a little sidetracked at JCPenney, The Icing, Victoria's Secret, a local shoe store, and a cute boutique. :) I know, huh. But really, I didn't want to shop. Back to Old Navy.

They were having this insane sale!!! And I was mentally, writing down a list of things I wanted to buy. Later. With my money. Then I saw those jeans! The ones that Jelly has been sporting. The ones, that I thought I would look ridiculous wearing. Yes, those jeans!



Beautifully colored jeans. Oh. My. Goodness! I just didn't know what to do!!! And they were on sale. So I let my Momma, buy me 2 pairs. :) Green and yellow. My heart was a little heavy, when they didn't have my size in blue...



Then I get online, and everyone is wearing colored denim. And I'm falling in love...faster...and harder. I tell this guy about it. He promptly orders every color from Old Navy. Before I return home. Have I mentioned how much I love him? And not just because of this little deed...



And then I see this fabulous picture of Mrs. Ingrid. Rocking a pair of yellow jeans. Similar to the ones, that are hanging in my closet. The ONLY pair, that I haven't worn. Because I'm just NOT brave enough yet...

Yes, I'm in LOVE with colored denim!!! There is no rhyme or reason. Just the simple fact. On my days off, I'm in colored denim. Even when my pjs are calling my name. They're just so pretty, that I can't help myself! ♥

I LOVE Rain Boots!!!

Around here, it's been raining so much! In fact, I've been dealing with so much rain, I'm speechless. In general, I adore rainy days. Especially rainy nights. :) But when this guy has to work, it's not so good.

I've also realized, when we're on the road, it creates a bit of a problem. One, that a pair of rain boots, would easily fix. Oh rain boots, how I love you! I have a pair. That I bought a few years ago. And I wear them, whenever I garden. That's how much I love them.

But these days, I need some rain boots, you know...to wear in the rain. :) Not the boring ones. Not even the typical yellow ones. But something fun. And unexpected. A pair, that I wouldn't mind wearing to the store. Or out to lunch with friends. Something like these...



How about a pair with painted flowers? I think these are so fun. And girly! Perfect with a casual outfit. Jeans, a t-shirt, a fun jacket. These would complete any outfit, you'd wear to lunch with a friend.



These bows just scream to me!!! I adore how they are basic. But with a feminine twist. Some bows. A little polka dots. I'd definitely buy a pair like this!



My favorites, have to be these flower printed pair. The colors, the flowers, oh the fun!!! I could definitely see these, in our motor home. Traveling the long roads, that we travel every week.

Have you seen some fun rain boots? Something that you just love! Or just have to have. I want a new pair. Like nobody's business. But all I've found in the stores, are your typical rain boots. Loud colors, but not too fun. I've got to keep on hunting. I hope I find a pair soon. For the last few weeks, all we've had is rain! ♥

I'm a HUGE fan of big jewelry. Big, bold, and colorful jewelry! While looking for some decoration inspiration, I came across this picture. Isn't this necklace gorgeous? I'd LOVE to have it for Summer!



I'm a HUGE fan of Pinterest! I LOVE to be inspired by all the pictures. But it aggravates the heck out of me, when I can't find the source. Like for this necklace. How can I buy it...if I don't know where it came from? Well, have you seen this necklace anywhere? I'd LOVE to buy it! Summer is just around the corner. ♥

Oh Spring!

We've been in Sin City, for a few days now. And I'm feeling more refreshed. More inspired. More myself. Weird how that happens. But I'm going to work with it. :)

The weather has been nice. And warm. We've been performing. And I'm in LOVE with our new costumes! Cole is so talented! And with all of this, I've begun to think of Spring. It's just around the corner! And it's my favorite time of year.

Silently, I've wanted to go shopping. For the last few weeks. To head to my nearest Forever 21. And see what kind of fun items, they have. But, I've been busy. And it just hasn't happened. But this incredible weather, is just begging me, to go buy some new clothes. Like this...



It's hilarious, that I'm in LOVE with this bikini! I don't swim. I don't know how to swim. But I do enjoy, laying out by the pool. When this guy is out there. But not for long. Because, I'm positive that the sun HATES me! No matter what SPF I wear, I turn bright red!

But there's something about Spring, the warm weather, and all the retro clothes, that I've been wearing...that makes me pine for this bikini. Oh seersucker, how I LOVE you! ♥

Feels Like Spring

It's feeling more and more like Spring, around here. But my love of scarves, is still going strong. And I want to make myself, some Spring inspired scarves. Something fun and colorful. My friend sent me this picture, just yesterday. And I'm getting inspired!



This picture gives me lots of ideas. I'd LOVE to make a scarf like this. With Spring colors. Wouldn't this be fun to wear? With a pair of white pants, and a fun colored tank. Yes, I think I need to sit down today, and figure this out. ♥

Simply Wow!

My friend Cole, e-mailed me, this picture yesterday. Just look at it! This dress is made out of old magazines! Can you imagine? Wow!



Cole has been making my costumes, for years now. And this, just made me smile. And laugh. I told Cole, that we really need to add one of these, to the mix. Wouldn't that be fun? Maybe not too useful, and durable. But I think it would be a fun piece to showcase. :)

By the way, we're performing in Sin City next week. Craziness is our schedule! But it's always a lot of fun! I enjoy catching up with my friends. And making other people happy. We have 15 shows, in less than a week! On top of that, this guy is working there all weekend. Oh, it's going to be crazy! But I'm so excited, to see my new costumes! Hopefully something fun, just like this, will be in the mix! ♥

Call Me Crazy...

But I just LOVE this top! I've been pretty lazy, fashion wise, as of late. Wearing lots and lots of leggings. With tons of over sized tops. Not a throw back to the 1980s, but you know what I mean. I really enjoy wearing fun, and fashionable clothes. But sometimes, you just need something comfy. This top might just be a little much, but I like it. I wonder, if I can make one of my own... ♥

I don't know if you read Cakies. But I do! And I think you should too! It's such a cute blog. Rubyellen and her family are A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!!! I love reading about her style. And in a lot of ways, her style and mine, are very similar. As in the everyday looks.

Recently, a friend e-mailed me a link, to this YouTube video. It's of Rubyellen and her family! The cutest video ever. And it shows a glimpse of her "real life." Who knew, that Rubyellen liked jeans so much? I thought that she would wear, her beautiful vintage dresses, everyday. But this is a nice look into Rubyellen's closet. Take a looksy!



One day, when I have children, I hope to be like Rubyellen. Hands on. Enjoying life with my kids. Having this wonderful style. Celebrating family. And enjoying life. I know that it's not always easy. But Rubyellen is such an inspiration. On so many different levels. Oh, this video makes me want to go shopping. Right this minute! To find some beautiful vintage pieces. ♥

I Want One

For a while now, I've been wanting a carpet bag. One just like this one! I know, it sounds odd, but it's what I've been searching for. With absolutely, no luck! :O(



Just look at how fun this bag is. Something old. With a history. But so fun! A bag like this, will totally jazz up any outfit. Heck, I think this would be fun to add to my closet. I could honestly stare at it all day long!



Look at the inside of this bag! Isn't it just so fun? I LOVE it! Now if I can just find one. I really want a carpet bag. It's different. And fun. So fun! Something to make me smile, on those cloudy days. ♥

Love this Etsy shop! Homako has the cutest pieces. They're all handmade. With some pretty cute and original ideas. Actually, they make me, want to start making jewelry again. Oh, that used to be so much fun! Anyway, take a look at Homako's Shop. All I can say is, Eye Candy!



This is one of my favorite necklaces in the shop. Don't you just LOVE this style?!?!?! And the colors! So cute! I'd LOVE to buy it. But $32! A little much for me. Considering it's made out of felt. Oh, but I do LOVE it! I think it would like so cute with a white t-shirt, jeans, and a cute blazer. Maybe I'll convince myself to buy it. ♥

Cobalt and Ruffles

Ever since I took my niece shopping in May, I've wanted a cobalt dress. I past up a cute dress, with rosette detailing. Why? I don't know. The same dress was also available in tangerine. And when I went back to Sears, a week later, they were all sold out!!!

But I haven't given up hope. I've been searching. Because there is just something about the color. Then, last night, I was doing some online shopping. And I found this dress at Old Navy! Only available online.



I wanted to cry, when I realized my beloved dress was sold out. At least in the color I wanted. I went on with my Christmas shopping. Then, I decided to check once more. That's when I found it in blue! In my size. I put it in my cart, and immediately checked out. Let's just say, I'll be stalking the delivery guy, until next week. ♥

Kate's Style

Don't you just LOVE Kate Middleton's style? I know I do! And whenever a picture pops up, she looks amazing. Simply amazing! Whether it's couture fashion, or something from a mainstream store.



Like this red coat. Which I'm in LOVE with! Hello! It's is just so ladylike. Classic. And gorgeous. The red color, is so rich and gorgeous! I'm going to be on the hunt for something similar. ♥
