Movie Date Night

Since we got the good news yesterday, we've been going 100 MPH!!! Lots of things, that had been previously, "Put on the Back Burner," well have to get done. ASAP!!! So we're are busy again. I know. Life really never does stop.

My Guy, worked for a few hours today. Getting back "Into the Groove of Things." You know, until we start traveling tomorrow. I've been running around. Picking up things that we need, heading to the store, just making sure we'll have everything that we could possibly need.

But tonight, we decided to take it easy. Head to the "Lake House." Order in some food, from our favorite Japanese resturant. And watch a few good movies. Starting with The Help. One of my favorites. And surprisingly, one of My Guy's favorites too! Just don't tell anyone. ;)

We also watched The Secret Life of Bees. I'd never seen it. Neither had he. But we'd had it, in our collection, for a few years now. I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but it was still sealed! I know...

Honestly, it was such a good movie. Super cute. Dakota Fanning, and Queen Latifah make the entire movie! How come I don't remember this movie? Like I never remember hearing about it. But somehow, we had it. :) Now I want to read the book. The books are always better, than the movies. Don't you think?

I don't know if this man shared my same love. Of this movie. He did fall asleep. But I'm thinking, that had more to do with him going back to work. It's been over 2 weeks, since he'd worked. So I'm OK with his napping. In fact, I finished 2 presents I was making. :) A crochet blanket. And a baby set. I even got about halfway, with a scarf and hat set.

We ended our movie watching with Cast Away. And I even got some packing down. As this guy, and our fur babies are now, fast asleep. We really enjoyed this quiet night at home. Very unusual for us. But something that we both, enjoyed so much! I think we need to do this more. You know, without one of us being hurt or sick. Just make a new "Movie Date Night." ♥

Furry Babies

Here's the deal. I've NEVER liked cats! Mostly because, as a small child, I was so allergic to them. I couldn't stand those little balls of fur. I'd break out in hives. Couldn't breathe. It was horrible! Then when I was about 8 years old, I wasn't so bothered by cats. My allergies were more under control. But still, the ONLY cat I liked, was my grandpa's cat. This gorgeous black cat.

We were pals! Hung out together. ALL. THE. TIME! I was the ONLY kid, that cat liked too. Can you imagine, me and this gorgeous cat exploring the mountains. Because she'd follow me everywhere! Including to feed the geese. :) We'd lay out on the deck, reading books. Miss Panther tucked under my arms. As the Summer rolled on by!

And although my allergies towards cats, have gotten better, I NEVER thought I'd own a cat. EVER! Who knew, I'd fall in love with a man, that had 2 cats. Actually, My Love, has got a small "Furry Family." Dogs, cats, fish, longhorns, buffalo, a cow, a few horses, a pair of llamas, some sheep, and even some baby deer.

The "inside animals," are the animals I'm closest too. Which is understandable. Our 2 dogs, are my BFFs! They get so upset when we leave, and don't take them with us. But it's hard to travel with 2 big dogs. And who would have thought I would LOVE big dogs? I'd ONLY had small dogs. Growing up, we had 2 small dogs.

And the fish, are just fun and relaxing to watch. Literally, when I'm stressed out, I watch them in the tank for hours! It's so relaxing. But them cats, I wasn't sure how I'd feel about them. But you know what, I've grown to love those 2 fur balls!



One of our cats, likes to be dressed up. I wish that I can find this little hat thing. Our cat would adore it! I don't know what is wrong with him, but he likes when we dress him up. And when we cover him up, with tons of blankets. Silly cat!

This is the same silly cat, that likes to play with our iPads. I'm not lying! If we set one down for a second, our cat is there trying to watch videos. Oh yeah! He is addicted to YouTube!!! It's nuts! Our cat is just so silly. :)



And our cats are very affectionate. I'm glad they are both males. Because if they weren't, we might have a house full of cats by now. We're lucky, that our cats get along so well. This picture, is very similar to how we find our 2 cats. When we get home, they're hanging out together.

For the last couple of months, they've lived at this guy's company. We miss them. But as much as we're gone, they get more love at work. It's so sad. But we know that they are incredibly happy! Running around, being petted, and just enjoying life.

It's funny. A few weeks ago, we were home for almost 2 weeks. And we took our cats home. We LOVED the time together. Our silly cat, watched lots of YouTube videos. Our other cat, just chilled out. Watched me cook. It's funny how times have changed. But I just can't think of life, without our fur babies. ♥

Funny Animals

I don't know if I've ever shared this with you. But we have 2 cats, and 2 dogs. They are "indoor" animals. My Guy had them way before we ever met. Plus quite a few "outdoor" animals.

Our dogs, well, I've become very close to them. My Guy, he's learning that our "Fur Babies" just love me more. It doesn't matter that he's their "Daddy." That's just the way it happens. But I think he's making his peace with all of that now. :) Even if our cats are very independent. And tend to spend much of their time sleeping in a quiet room!

Since we travel a lot, our "Fur Babies" tend to miss us. A LOT!!! But they get lots of love from My Guy's family. And we are lucky enough to take our dogs on the road most of the time. But to say that our "Fur Babies" get happy when we go home, well that's just an understatement.

And our "Fur Babies" provide many, many hours of great entertainment for us. They are amazing "Cuddle Buddies" when we need it the most. Our dogs like to go with me when I run. Heck, our animals are just a bright spot in our lives. :)



But we just laughed hysterically the other day. Why? Because of our silly cat. When we first got our iPads, one of our cats was fascinated with it. He'd just sit there staring at it. And if we happened to put the iPad down, he'd go play with it. Putting his paws on the iPad, like he really knew how to use it. No lie!

We've got our cat playing on our iPads many times. It's really funny. We have tons of pictures. And even some videos of all of this fun. I'm not lying! But our cat never should any interest in our laptops. Until recently.

My Guy and I were watching some YouTube videos. Laughing hysterically. I'm pretty sure our cat thought we were nuts. Until he perched on the couch behind us. And saw the cat. I can't even remember what video we were watching. But it did have a cat.

Well, we got up to grab a snack. And when we walked back into the room, our cat was sitting on the laptop. I think he actually figured out how to replay the video. We silently sat and watched. Our cat sat there and watched the video. Then, somehow figured how to play it again. And again! Then we cracked up laughing.

How in the world? I don't know how he figured it out. But it was so funny! Now our cat, he likes to sit on our laptops, similar to this picture. I think he's just looking for that cat in the video. :) ♥

Home Sweet Home

It's nice to be home. And on a Sunday. That almost never happens. My Guy, he happens to still be asleep. Which is a nice change of pace for us. I'm so proud of him. And everything he did yesterday. I'm just so proud of him!

As for today? Well, I'm thinking a day of nothingness. That doesn't happen much. And My Guy has to return to work on Tuesday. So we're going to take advantage of our down time. I'm also going to enjoy my fuzzy, pink flamingo slippers.

Oh Sunday, how I love you! A little church. A little being lazy. And a whole lot of time with My Guy. And our fur babies. Nothing is better than this! ♥
