Baby Animals Blankie

I've been looking for a fun baby blanket to crochet. I've been crocheting, just as fast as I can! So many of my friend's are welcoming the most gorgeous babies!!! Two of my friends in particular, are too cute! They're married to 2 guys in the BBs. And love the "Good 'ol Farm Life!!!" So I needed something very special.

I took to Annie's Attic. To be honest, I hadn't searched this website in a long time! I'm still a little bitter, that they don't offer their "Free Daily Pattern" anymore. And that they longer sell 2 of my favorite patterns. That I can't find anywhere else. But I sucked it up. And took to searching.

That's when I found this adorable pattern!!! Baby Animals Blankie. Hello. It's just perfect! For these precious 2 baby girls. I bought it. Downloaded it immediately. And I've gotten to work. Never mind, that one of these sweet baby girls is already here! Her Nana is working, as fast as her crochet hook will go. :) ♥

Fajita Fun!!!

It's no lie, or secret, My Guy's family, L-O-V-E-S Mexican food!!! It's a good thing, I'm Hispanic, and picked up on my family's great cooking skills. :) At least, once or twice a month, I cook for My Guy's grandma. It's a whole evening of fun, catching up, and lots of food!!!

But I don't neglect the rest of his family either! His nieces lived with us for a while. And well, they got a little hooked on Mexican food too! Little K, is at that age, when play food is essential! There is not a day that goes by, when she doesn't want to play. If they happen to be over, while I'm cooking, she'll either ask to help me. Or she'll pull out her play food and "cook" too! :)

When I saw this pattern, just over a week ago, Little K came to mind. Immediately! And I knew, that I had to make it for her. :) By the way, isn't the pepper adorable? Well, I've printed the pattern, packed my yarn, and hope to have a nice little present, for Little K come Monday! ♥

Does anyone know where I can find the pattern to this blanket? It's adorable! Seriously! You know me and polka dots. Add the ruffles, and I can barely contain myself. With so many baby gifts to make, I'd LOVE to make this blanket! Please, please, please, leave me the link to this pattern if you have it. ♥

Look at What I Just Got!

The moment I read about Ana Paula Rimoli's new book, I wanted it! I knew it was coming out this month, but I just hadn't made it to the bookstore.

But I do have an amazing boyfriend. This morning, I found this gorgeous book, and a bunch of yarn next to our bed. I was so excited!

Now if you will excuse me, I'm off to crochet. There are just so many fun projects to make in this book! ♥

Saturday Crochet

Is it me? Or are there a lot more really cute free crochet patterns on the weekends? I think so. Every weekend, I find myself downloading some cute patterns. Here are 5 "Free Patterns of the Day." Available today, on Free Crochet and Free Patterns.

Boy Wrapper

Baby Sacque and Cap

Daisy Table Set

Crystal Lace Afghan

Cascade Tablecloth

All these patterns just encourage and inspire me to start crocheting. A lot more than I've been doing lately. I'm just in need of some yarn. I've let my stash kinda die down a bit. I need to replenish it. And start making some cute things. ♥

2 Cuties!

My Guy and I are taking some time to just relax today. Enjoy some of my cutie patootie Goddaughters. And really, just listen, to what our hearts are saying. We need to stop. And realize all the amazing things we have in our life. Sometimes My Guy's career can really "get in the way." And we start to feel "numb" inside. We get lost in the shuffle, and forget what's really important. Friends and family.

I think life, has just being going so fast lately. So much has changed. So many things are a whirlwind. Right now. My health. My Guy's career. Sometimes, just stepping away for a minute or two, really is all one needs. You know to get some real perspective on things.

And that just what we have planned for the next few days. Beginning with, and not ending with, a little crocheting for me. :) And I wanted to share today's free patterns, from Free Patterns. They're so cute! Definitely going on my "To Make" list. :)

Little Artist Crayon Keeper

Baby's First Easter

Now if you don't mind, I got some cutie patooties to go hang out with. And a man to love. :) And a little time to just enjoy life. Since My Guy needs to be in California, for work on Thursday. Not much time. But we're going to make the most of it. You know, I really do miss my friends and family. But My Guy is the perfect reason to be away. ♥

Fun Crochet

This morning on Free Patterns, I found 2 very cute patterns. They're the "Free Patterns of the Day." So you just might want to head over there right now. You know, and download them. :)

Springtime Coasters

Splash 'n' Fun Cover-Up

I think both of these patterns would be so fun to crochet! I want to make some of those coasters. But maybe with thicker cotton yarn. And use them as potholders instead. And this little cover up, I think it would be super cute! You know, for a few of the cuties in my life. :) Happy Sunday! ♥

Jumbo Burger Kinda Day

For me, it's a pretty busy weekend. But I've managed to schedule out a couple of hours this afternoon. To do what? Hangout with My Guy. You see, today he is not just an employee, he's going to be the "Boss Man" too. And it's an important day for his company. So I'm going to support him. That means, hanging out, and watching the company's progress. We're hoping for a great day!

Along with that, I'm hoping to get a little bit of craft time in too! I've been lacking in the "crafty goodness," as of late. So I dug up a cute pattern, and I hope to get some time today, to crochet. :) You know, between watching all the goodness that is scheduled to happen.

Yup, I have Jumbo Burgers in my near future. The kind that are "calorie free." But oh so delicious! Who knows, if I can make a few, I might have some really cute birthday presents, for some special kiddos!

It's been that kind of a week. The kind that almost demands a little bit of "chilaxing." And definitely some time with my love. Because honestly, weekends are supposed to be about spending time with the ones you love! And having a little bit of fun. Even with all the work we've somehow crammed into this weekend. Happy Saturday! ♥

Mini Menagerie

So cute! Don't you think? These little animals would be a perfect gift for a baby or a child. Just think of all the possibilities. Birthday presents, Christmas gifts, and even a Baby Shower surprise.

Amigurumi Bunny Basket Crochet Along

Mrs. Manders and I have decided to do a little "Crochet Along." We have a few friends, who have recently learned how to crochet. And since most of us are far apart, most of the time, we thought that this would be a fun thing to do.

I wanted to pick out a crochet pattern that was easy enough for a beginner, but fun for us more "advanced crocheters." And I wanted it to be fun, and "Season Appropriate." We decided on the "Amigurumi Bunny Basket" from Lion Brand yarn. It's a free pattern! All you need to do is sign up for the website.

If you'd like to join Manders and I, just leave us a message. We're going to start our projects on March 14th. Don't feel like you have to have kiddos for this project. Manders is making this cutie for Miss Lauren. And me, I'm hoping to use my bunny to hold a potted plant. :) The date gives you plenty of time to print the pattern, buy some yarn, and have a little fun! I hope you join us. ♥

Violet Rings

Isn't this just the prettiest blanket? I LOVE the design. And the colors. Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE PURPLE? Anyway, this is the "Free Pattern of the Day" from Free Patterns. Head over there and download it. I bet it would be pretty in blues and browns. Which happens to be one of my favorite color combinations too! ♥

Fruity

A very good friend of our family just celebrated her birthday. And I'll admit it, I'm a little behind on the present making side of things. So today, I got to searching for some good projects. And I came across this pattern.

Perfect! Our friend has decorated her kitchen in all different types of fruit. I'm going to be making her the 3 different sets. And probably an apron with some oven mitts to match. I just need to get to the store. I'm sure they'll have some sort of fruit fabric.

Oh, and I just have to say this. This pattern makes me dream of summer days. You know, relaxing outside. Enjoying a yummy BBQ. With lots of fresh fruit. Yum! Oh the days of warm weather. I might just have to make me a set too! ♥

Infant Leg Warmers

With all the cold weather that we've been having, I just want to sit and crochet. Crochet lots and lots of warm things. Like leg warmers for babies. For Baby C. She needs warm things like this. Especially now that she's in the hospital.

And she needs cute things. You know, Baby C is a "Fashionista in Training!" At least, that's what I hear. ;) I'm thinking, I need to make a few pairs of leg warmers. I haven't decided if I want to try matching hats, or matching headbands. What do you think? Maybe hats. Because she needs to stay warm. You know, so she can grow big and healthy. :)

I found this pattern at Alli Crafts. She happens to have so many great patterns. What a talent! So I'm going to try and stay warm today. Hopefully get some crocheting done. And maybe make a big pot of homemade soup. Stay warm everyone! ♥

How Cute!

I'm so in love with this pattern from Ana! Since I first saw Ana's patterns on Etsy, I've been hooked! I've purchased many of them. And her 2 books. Yes, I LOVE her blog too!

So you can count on me buying Crochet Today! magazine this month. Unfortunately, I didn't get the last copy that Ana was published in. :( But I'm not going to miss this pattern! Don't you just LOVE this amigurumi set? ♥

Holiday Leaves

Isn't this just the cutest little wreath? I think it would be perfect in browns, oranges, and yellows for Fall. Or in just white for Winter. Those are little crochet leaves all the way around. It's simple and classy. Just perfect for your front door! The best news is, it's a free pattern from Lion Brand. ♥

Lacy Strips Throw

Isn't this a pretty blanket? OK, so the colors are a little crazy. I'd go with maybe 3 different colors. But I really like the look of this blanket. I think a blanket made in neutral colors, it would go perfect in our den. Something wonderful to curl up with. You know, on those nights that aren't too cold. But cool enough. Oh the thoughts... ♥

For Baby C

I just finished this little mobile, for Baby C. The pattern is from the May or June issue of Crochet Today. I can't remember. I have it in my stash at home. But it was something that I wanted to make for Baby C, long before she was born. Time just escaped me.

Until now. While I've been sitting here, next to her crib, I've been crocheting. The hospital can be such a cold and sad place. I know, she's in a Children's Hospital. And things are generally a lot more playful. With morals on the walls. But I want her to have something special. Something that will make her stay a little bit more peaceful and happy.

I know. It's pretty nuts. Maybe I just feel better, by making Baby C something. Like it's my little way of helping her heal. I'm not sure. I just wanted to make her something that would comfort her. And make her days a little brighter. Anything to make my Goddaughter's life a little easier. ♥

Lil' Boo Bear

Isn't this little guy too cute? I think so. And super easy to make. As you can see, you are dressing up a store bought bear. Perfect for Halloween! And for someone who doesn't have a lot of time on their hands. You can get this pattern today at Free Crochet. It's their pattern of the day. Don't forget to check every day for a new and fun crochet pattern. ♥
