Week Three

Welcome to Week Three of the Crochet Along! This week is all about working on the handle. You should have the main basket piece (up to row 25) done. If you haven't, that's OK. Just work on as much as you can. If you need any help, don't hesitate to ask Manders or me. We'd love to help! Because we really want you to succeed at this cutie!



I'm having a lot of fun with this project. I just need to find some time to crochet. Earlier in the week. I keep putting off my crocheting time until Sundays. Particularly, Sunday nights. It's not that bad. But then I feel a little bit of stress. You know, trying to finish before my own deadline. I just need to make a "crochet date" with myself. Maybe Wednesday nights. How is everyone else doing? ♥

Week Two

It's Week 2 of our Crochet Along! It's time to begin the 2nd part of the basket. By the end of this week, we should have the main basket piece finished. Our goal this week, is to work Rounds 11-25.



And if you are like me, you were running a little behind, this past week. I didn't buy my yarn until late in the week. And I forgot to print out the pattern. So I only worked a row or two. But yesterday evening, I got working. And I caught up! This week, I'm going to try and be more product. Earlier in the week. :) ♥

Let's Begin!

Are you guys ready? Today we start our "Crochet Along." I just can't wait to start my bunny! You can still join in. Leave me or Manders a comment. Or send us an e-mail. If you want to get a look at our schedule, here it is. I just wanted to somewhat, "equally" distribute the crocheting time. You of course, can work ahead, or behind us. We just wanted to set up a little schedule.

Week 1 (March 14-20): Buy supplies, print pattern, and work to Round 10.
Week 2 (March 21-27); Work Rounds 11-25.
Week 3 (March 28-April 3) : Work the handle.
Week 4 (April 4-10): Work ear #1.
Week 5 (April 11-17): Work ear #2.
Week 6 (April 18-24): Put your bunny basket together and enjoy!

Jumbo Burger Kinda Day

For me, it's a pretty busy weekend. But I've managed to schedule out a couple of hours this afternoon. To do what? Hangout with My Guy. You see, today he is not just an employee, he's going to be the "Boss Man" too. And it's an important day for his company. So I'm going to support him. That means, hanging out, and watching the company's progress. We're hoping for a great day!

Along with that, I'm hoping to get a little bit of craft time in too! I've been lacking in the "crafty goodness," as of late. So I dug up a cute pattern, and I hope to get some time today, to crochet. :) You know, between watching all the goodness that is scheduled to happen.



Yup, I have Jumbo Burgers in my near future. The kind that are "calorie free." But oh so delicious! Who knows, if I can make a few, I might have some really cute birthday presents, for some special kiddos!

It's been that kind of a week. The kind that almost demands a little bit of "chilaxing." And definitely some time with my love. Because honestly, weekends are supposed to be about spending time with the ones you love! And having a little bit of fun. Even with all the work we've somehow crammed into this weekend. Happy Saturday! ♥

Amigurumi Bunny Basket Crochet Along

Mrs. Manders and I have decided to do a little "Crochet Along." We have a few friends, who have recently learned how to crochet. And since most of us are far apart, most of the time, we thought that this would be a fun thing to do.

I wanted to pick out a crochet pattern that was easy enough for a beginner, but fun for us more "advanced crocheters." And I wanted it to be fun, and "Season Appropriate." We decided on the "Amigurumi Bunny Basket" from Lion Brand yarn. It's a free pattern! All you need to do is sign up for the website.



If you'd like to join Manders and I, just leave us a message. We're going to start our projects on March 14th. Don't feel like you have to have kiddos for this project. Manders is making this cutie for Miss Lauren. And me, I'm hoping to use my bunny to hold a potted plant. :) The date gives you plenty of time to print the pattern, buy some yarn, and have a little fun! I hope you join us. ♥

Holiday Leaves

Isn't this just the cutest little wreath? I think it would be perfect in browns, oranges, and yellows for Fall. Or in just white for Winter. Those are little crochet leaves all the way around. It's simple and classy. Just perfect for your front door! The best news is, it's a free pattern from Lion Brand. ♥

Lacy Strips Throw

Isn't this a pretty blanket? OK, so the colors are a little crazy. I'd go with maybe 3 different colors. But I really like the look of this blanket. I think a blanket made in neutral colors, it would go perfect in our den. Something wonderful to curl up with. You know, on those nights that aren't too cold. But cool enough. Oh the thoughts... ♥

Playtime Comfort Child's Top

I would LOVE to make this sweater for Sarita. She is so tiny. And girly. Oh, she is so girly! And I know that she would love this! Especially for her next, and hopefully, last stay in the hospital. My Goddaughter likes to wear things that I make her. Recently, she told me that the sweaters I make her, keep her extra warm. Made me smile. :)

I'm positive that Emma would look like a cutie pie too! And so would Maribel. I guess this Nana better get crocheting. Winter clothing is always so fun to make. Especially for sweet little girls. And I know that these little girls, like to wear the things I make them.

That always makes me, want to make them more. Because they love the things I make them. And they get so excited with their new clothes! We're not even going to talk about how excited I get, to make them new stuff. It's a win-win situation! ♥

Short And Sweet Child's Cardigan

I'm going to revisit the Short And Sweet Child's Cardigan. I found this pattern well over a year ago. I've made 2. One pink, and one dark maroon. Both came out adorable! Then I forgot about this pattern.

But it's so easy. And very cute. I want to make my Goddaughters each a sweater. They love the things I make. And I think they would really enjoy a cute cardigan. Like I said, this pattern is really easy. One sweater only took me about 2 hours. Now I just need to go buy some yarn. ♥
