Sew, Mama, Sew Giveaway Day

Welcome everyone from Sew, Mama, Sew! I'm so excited to be a part of Giveaway Day again. I just wish I would have remembered to pack my camera with me. But these cellphone pictures are going to have to do.

Now on to the good stuff! I'm giving away 2 different items. And we'll have 2 different winners. :)

First we have this full apron. I know lots of people like the full aprons to bake with. Especially at this time of year! I'm also going to include some dish towels and other kitchen gadgets.

And a cute cupcake purse for a little girl. I don't know if you can tell, but it's filled with lots of goodies too!

Now how do you win? Just leave me a comment with your favorite homemade holiday dessert. It can be a candy or a cookie. Whatever homemade dessert is your favorite. Get 5 extra entries for a link to a recipe. I LOVE to try new things. :)

You have until December 19th at 11:59PM PST. And I will draw 2 lucky names. Good luck! And have fun blog hopping this week. You might want to stop by a few of my friend's blogs too! They're also hosting a giveaway. Here are their links, My Mom, Cari, Gabi, Kate, and Manders. ♥

    1. Prepare 1 large box of Jello Chocolate Heat& Serve pudding.
    2. When the pudding is throughly heated, pour entire pot into a graham cracker pie crust and place in refrigerator to cool completely.
    3. When the pie is firm (6-8 hours) top with fresh whipped cream and serve.
Seriously, it is embarrasingly simple, but really delish! ;)

  55. I don't have a link, its a recipe from My Mom. I LOVE these cookies! I can't wait to make them this year!

    BAKED CHOCO-COVERED CHERRIES

    1/2 cup butter, softened
    1 cup sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp vanilla
    1 1/2 cup flour
    1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp baking soda
    36-48 maraschino cherries, well drained

In large mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. No need to sift flour. Add remaining ingredients. Blend at low speed until a dough forms, about 1 minute. Dough will be stiff. Shape dough into 1-inch balls, using a heaping teaspoon of dough for each. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Push one cherry halfway into each ball. When all cookies are molded and cherries are pushed in, prepare frosting and use immediately. Frost each cherry by spreading 1/2 teaspoon frosting over each cherry. Frosting will spread over cookie slightly during baking. Bake frosted cookies at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes until puffy. Store tightly covered.

    FROSTING

1 cup (6 oz) chocolate chips
    1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
    1/4 tsp salt
1-1 1/2 tsp maraschino cherry juice

In small heavy saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate pieces with condensed milk, stirring constantly; remove from heat. Add remaining ingredients and stir until smooth.

    Makes 36-48 cookies
